The De La Warr Pavilion celebrated the first birthday of it‘s re-opening with the launch of the De La Warr Pavilion Chair, designed by Barber Osgerby. In 2004, this Jerwood prize winning design team were commissioned by the De La Warr Pavilion, as part of its restoration programme, to design new furniture for the Restaurant, Café and Terraces. This important commission, manufacted by Established & sons, with support from the Edward Marshall Trust, continues the Pavilion‘s association with key twentieth century architects and designers, including Serge Chermayeff, Erich Mendelsohn and Alvar Aalto.
